Audra’s Bio
I’m a mom of 4, wife, daughter, friend, furniture builder, and wanna-be chef. I am an average 30-something year old white suburban housewife who a few cannot stand. Why? I am a totally unashamed follower of Jesus Christ.

I believe you have only one shot at this thing called life, and this is it. If you miss out on Jesus, you miss everything important.
I believe it’s not about one particular church, but it’s beneficial to find a bible believing one that studies verse by verse…
I believe the Bible is the inspired word of God, written by men, but God breathed…I think it’s important to know and believe the Bible in it’s entirity, but that people misunderstand God’s words when they take verses out of context…

With a lifetime of relationship with God, I try and walk through the most common misconceptions about them; the Father, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the Bible. I love encouraging others unto good works, and spreading the gospel. I realize this worldview is unpopular, and the odds of having a very large number of readers is extremely low. It’s also irrelevant. If there is even one person who is deeply hurting, and wants to be free, or if there is someone out there who is looking for true love in this life- that love and purpose is found only in one person.
Jesus Christ.
This life is very short, so I believe eternity does matter. A lot.
So I tell people about it.

Note: I also write a sister blog called GodTidbits. Shorter posts to the reader from God’s perspective. You can view it here.

Janet’s Bio
I am first and foremost a follower of Jesus Christ. He redeemed me from my lying, cheating, etc…sinful ways. Thank you Jesus! I am blessed to be both a wife and mother. I get to stay at home with our children while my husband goes off to, as he jokingly says “support our lifestyle”. I am an engineer and neuroscientist by training and currently consult part time for various companies. When I have free time I enjoy reading, crafting, running, traveling, and backpacking.

My desire through this blog co-op with my bestie A, is three-fold. First, that the truth of what Jesus Christ did on the cross and in the tomb for all of humanity would be the common thread in all posts. Second, that the perception that the bible is just a book of fables with some good values be dispelled through the presentation of sound reasoning and evidence supporting the validity of God’s word. Third, I’d like to present and discuss various issues regarding the four questions central to human existence; origin, meaning, morality, and destiny.

Thank you for stopping by and God Bless you!

Thanks for visiting my blog. I’m glad you found something you liked. Hope you’ll come back again–and maybe help me out when people start arguing about the existence of God with me. 🙂

Lol! We’ll help you if you wish, but what J and I have found is you can argue the most persuasive arguments, but it’s truly the love of God that brings people to repentance. Just love people. Too many who claim to be followers of Jesus are rude, condescending, and illogical in their reasoning, you know? I’m sure you noticed as well. Our purpose is to bring Jesus to mind, so readers might think about Him. Then it’s all up to them, and the Spirit of God. Congrats on your new marriage, and this relatively new season in your life. Have fun!

Thank you! We are having fun!

And . . . yes, I’ve discovered (in some cases painfully) that what you say is true. My purpose is just to get people thinking as well. I just figured since it seems like we come from similar places, maybe, and are attempting similar things, we could join in each others’ conversations for mutual encouragement and . . . the furthering of thinking, I guess.

  2. I admire and applaud your unabashed proclamation of your love for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have lived a sordid life and at the age of 47 I turned everything over to Him. He has guided me and consoled me and everything I do is through Him.

That’s remarkable. No matter how sordid, at 47 you became an altogether whole and new creation. Old things passed away, and all things became new. Everything you have done since is testament to a miraculous and life changing God. One day I look forward to the shake of your hand. Thank you for your applause, but you sir, are my brother. In Christ,

HI! So happy to have found your blog. Thank you for the encouraging comment at sendthelight.wordpress.com. It means more than you know. I’m looking forward to reading more of your blog. Prayers for you and your family! Keep in touch 🙂

    1. Thank you Heather! Through Him you are strong and courageous. You are being used in such a mighty way to expose wrong, and ‘shine your light’. Remember this one thing, for me will ya? Don’t let an angry or dissapointing comment from a reader immobilize you even for a second. When you speak truth, conviction does its job, and sometimes people don’t know how to handle their own confusion and guilt. Stand strong. The truth doesn’t change. We do. Praying for you.
